handy man ministry

People at Evergreen need car repair, house maintenance, yard work, or help moving stuff, but are unable to have this done due to lack of finances or physical ability. Do you possess home maintenance skills or ability to repair cars? Or do you simply want to provide some muscle?

Position: Handy man

heart ministry

When a difficult change or loss occurs in a person’s life the HEART Ministry is available to respond. We have a committee of volunteers for: Prayer Chain, Meals, Funeral, Transportation, Gifts & Notes, Cleaning, Visitation, and Long Term Assistance (rides, seasonal yard work, etc.). Currently we need to fill the coordinator positions for several committees and we are interested in recruiting more volunteers to serve within the committees. If you are interested in leading, serving, or just learning more about the Heart ministry in general, please go to: http://www.evergreenccbloomington.com/ministries/heart.shtml

benevolence ministry

Evergreen attendees occasionally need financial assistance with basic necessities such as food, shelter, transportation, and medical costs. The Benevolence Ministry exists to help meet this need. A Benevolence Counselor works through a budget with the person in need. This requires face to face contact. Another Benevolence Counselor processes the financial aid application which is strictly a connection with the applicant via phone.

refreshments ministry

Help people connect after the weekend services by serving refreshments in the gathering space. We need three people for the 11:15 service and volunteers to serve on Friday nights. Work with the same team once per month. Prepare coffee and serve donut holes, cookies and clean up.

ushers and greeters

Our goal is to make everyone feel welcome at Evergreen.  Arrive 30-60 minutes prior to a weekend service to do one or more of the following: table set-up, assemble bulletins, greet people, distribute bulletins, direct the attendees to the nursery and children's programs, and pass the basket for offering. Ushers serve during one service every other weekend.
